General notes
Ab250745 is the carrier-free version of ab184331. This format is designed for use in antibody labeling, including fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, enzymes.
Our carrier-free formats are supplied in a buffer free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol for higher conjugation efficiency.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with
ab250745 is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm.
Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free production

All lanes : Anti-galectin 9/Gal-9 antibody [EPR19182] (ab184331) at 1/2000 dilution
Lane 1 : Mouse liver lysate
Lane 2 : Mouse thymus lysate
Lane 3 : Mouse spleen lysate
Lane 4 : NIH/3T3 (Mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line) whole cell lysate
Lane 5 : Mouse brain lysate
Lysates/proteins at 20 µg per lane.
Secondary
All lanes : Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) (ab97051) at 1/100000 dilution
Predicted band size: 40 kDa
Observed band size: 36 kDa why is the actual band size different from the predicted? This data was developed using ab184331, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Blocking and dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.
Exposure times: Lanes 1-3: 15 seconds; Lanes 4-5: 3 minutes.
galectin 9 / Gal-9 was not detected in mouse brain under our testing conditions, but mouse brain should have low expression of galectin 9 / Gal-9 according to the literature (PMID: 9038233). The molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID: 9038233).
