General notes
ab278085 is the carrier-free version of ab278081. This format is designed for use in antibody labeling, including fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, enzymes.
Our carrier-free formats are supplied in a buffer free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol for higher conjugation efficiency.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with
ab278085 is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm.
Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free production

All lanes : Anti-COLEC11 antibody [EPR24192-169] (ab278081) at 1/1000 dilution
Lane 1 : Human kidney tissue lysate
Lane 2 : Human adrenal gland tissue lysate
Lane 3 : Human liver tissue lysate
Lane 4 : Human skeletal muscle tissue lysate
Lane 5 : Human stomach tissue lysate
Lysates/proteins at 20 µg per lane.
Secondary
All lanes : Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated (ab97051) at 1/100000 dilution
Predicted band size: 29 kDa
Observed band size: 28,34 kDa why is the actual band size different from the predicted? This data was developed using ab278081, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration: 5% NFDM/TBST.
The expression profile/molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID:30323815, 28772263, 20956340).
Low expression: skeletal muscle, stomach (PMID:20956340).
This blot was developed using a higher sensitivity ECL substrate.
Exposure time: 81 seconds.

This data was developed using ab278081, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
COLEC11 was immunoprecipitated from 0.35 mg Mouse plasma with ab278081 at 1/30 dilution (2ug in 0.35mg lysates). Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab278081 at 1/1000 dilution. VeriBlot for IP Detection Reagent (HRP)(ab131366) was used at 1/5000 dilution.
Lane 1: Mouse plasma 10 μl
Lane 2: ab278081 IP in Mouse plasma
Lane 3: Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) instead of ab278081 in Mouse plasma
Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration: 5% NFDM/TBST.
Exposure time: 3 minutes.
