Synthetic peptide: KWKVFKKIEK VGRNIRNGIV KAGPAIAVLG EAKAL, corresponding to amino acids 27-61 of Cecropin B modified at aa 37 from the sequence which is found in silkworm.

Protein A purified

This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using cecropin B coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum and purified and partially purified cecropin B. Reactivity against other forms of cecropins has not yet been determined.

Anti-cecropin B is useful for the detection of cecropin B in various immunological assays.
