Biological description
Purine analogue with potential antineoplastic activity. Antimetabolite. Competes with guanine. Incorporated into ribonucleic acids, interfering with normal biosynthetic pathways, thus inhibiting cellular growth. Has been used in the treatment of acute leukemia.

Handling
