2-Hydroxy C14:0 analog of myristic acid. Forms 2-hydroxymyristoyl-CoA intracellularly. Blocks p56lck signaling and T-cell activation. Inhibits protein myristoylation at 0.5 mM. Potential antiviral agent. Active in vitro. -
