Biological description
Novel orally bioavailable, brain penetrant mixed lineage kinase (MLK) inhibitor (IC50 values of 19, 42, 14, and 150 nM for MLK1, MLK2, MLK3, and the related MLK family member DLK, respectively). Inhibits multiple kinase pathways including LRRK2 (IC50 = 11 nM). Decreases the production of inflammatory cytokines in cultured microglia exposed to HIV-1 Tat. Reduces fMLP-induced chemotaxis of neutrophil from wild-type C57Bl/6 mice. Facilitates Amyloid-β Clearance in a Murine Model of Alzheimer's Disease.
