Biological description
Fluoroquinolone antibiotic agent. Topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase inhibitor. Reversibly inhibits DNA synthesis. Inhibits PANX1 (IC50 = 4 μM). Shows antibiotic effects in vivo (MIC90 = 244 nM, pneumococci).
