Biological description
Potent, selective inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) 9, 2 and 7 (IC50 values are 4, 38 and 62 nM respectively). Blocks the cell cycle, inhibits transcription, and induces apoptosis in multiple myeloma RPMI-8226 cells (IC90 = 0.3 µM). Induces apoptosis by inhibiting the transcription of the anti-apoptotic proteins, Mcl-1 and XIAP.
