Selective cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk1) inhibitor (Ki values are 35 and 110 nM for cdk1/cyclin B1 and cdk1/cyclin A, respectively). Enhances downstream p53 signaling. Induces G2/M-phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.
