Phosphoglycerate Mutase Activity Assay Kit (Colorimetric/Fluorometric) (ab273340) can be used to detect Phosphoglycerate Mutase (PGAM) activity in biological samples.
The kit utilizes the ability of PGAM to catalyze the conversion of 3-Phosphoglycerate to 2-Phosphoglycerate,which is subsequently used to generate an intermediate product. The intermediate product then stoichiometrically reacts with a red probe to generate color (OD 570 nm) or fluorescence (Ex/Em = 535/587 nm).
This assay kit provides a rapid, simple and sensitive method to detect PGAM activity as low as 0.05 mU in a variety of samples.
