Mutagen. Antibiotic mycotoxin. Induces DNA single-strand breaks. Irreversible GDP-mannose dehydrogenase inhibitor. Inhibits RNA and protein synthesis (ED50 values are 180 and 600 μM respectively). Glutathione S-transferase inhibitor. Shows hepatotoxic effects in vivo. -
