Mouse YKL-40 / CHI3L1 ELISA Kit (ab238262) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of YKL-40 / CHI3L1 protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse YKL-40 / CHI3L1 with 3.17 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. A genetic variation in CHI3L1 is associated with susceptibility to asthma-related traits type 7 (ASRT7) [MIM:611960]. Asthma-related traits include clinical symptoms of asthma, such as coughing, wheezing and dyspnea, bronchial hyperresponsiveness (BHR) as assessed by methacholine challenge test, serum IgE levels, atopy, and atopic dermatitis. -

Interpolated concentrations of native CHI3L1 in mouse serum and plasma samples.The concentrations of CHI3L1 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the CHI3L1 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 5%, plasma (citrate) 5%, plasma (EDTA) 5% and plasma (heparin) 5%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CHI3L1 concentration was determined to be 58.00 ng/mL in serum, 28.30 ng/mL in plasma (citrate), 52.70 pg/mL in plasma (EDTA), and 82.22 ng/mL in plasma (Heparin). -
