Product overview
Mouse H60a ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of H60a in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples.
Δ Note: Mouse H60a concentration is low in normal serum/plasma, and may not be detectable in this assay.
This assay employs an antibody specific for mouse H60a coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and H60a present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse H60a antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of H60a bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Relevance
H60 (histocompatibility 60), together with retinoic acid early inducible (Rae-1) are murine ligands for the lectin-like receptor NKG2D. They are distant relatives of major histocompatibility complex class I molecules. Ectopic expression confers target susceptibility to NK cell attack. -
