Mouse CDKN2A ELISA Kit (ab230131) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of CDKN2A protein in cell culture extracts and tissue extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse CDKN2A with 8 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Relevance
Acts as a negative regulator of the proliferation of normal cells by interacting strongly with CDK4 and CDK6. This inhibits their ability to interact with cyclins D and to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein. Heterodimer with CDK4 or CDK6. Predominant p16 complexes contained CDK6. Interacts (isoforms 1,2 and 4) with CDK4 (both 'T-172'-phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms); the interaction inhibits cyclin D-CDK4 kinase activity. Interacts with ISCO2. Widely expressed but not detected in brain or skeletal muscle. Isoform 3 is pancreas-specific. -

The concentrations of CDKN2A were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the CDKN2A standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The average interpolated amount of native CDKN2A is 548 pg/ml in MEF extract.
