Product overview
Human CCL27 ELISA Kit (CTACK) (ab200013) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of CCL27 (CTACK) protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human CCL27 (CTACK) with 9 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
- High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
- Fully validated in biological samples
- 96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells stripsA 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.

Notes
CC chemokine ligand 27 (CCL27) is a member of a superfamily of small secreted proteins that attract circulating lymphocytes to an area of injury/infection by binding with G protein-coupled receptors expressed on the migrating target cells. CCL27 is expressed in the skin and selectively attracts CLA+ memory T-cells into the skin microenvironment. CCL27 expression can be up-regulated by the proinflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β increasing migration of memory T-cells to the skin during inflammation. In normal skin suprabasal keratinocytes express minute amounts of CCL27; where as in lesions of human Atopic Dermatitis, Contact Dermatitis, and psoriasis, the keratinocytes demonstrate stronger expression of CCL27 which is thought to attract pro-inflammatory CLA+ memory T-cells to the lesions contributing to the inflammatory process and perpetuates the disease.

SimpleStep ELISA technology allows the formation of the antibody-antigen complex in one single step, reducing assay time to 90 minutes. Add samples or standards and antibody mix to wells all at once, incubate, wash, and add your final substrate. See protocol for a detailed step-by-step guide.

Background subtracted data from duplicate measurements are plotted. Serum samples from a total of 10 individual Normal serum donors and 3 donors diagnosed with Atopic Dermatitis (AD) were assayed. Complete medical histories for all donors is not known.
