Gap junction blocking peptide. Connexin mimetic corresponding to residues 63-75 of Connexin 43. Inhibits IP3-induced release of ATP. Attenuates arterial smooth muscle contractile activity (IC50 = 28.4 μM). Primary inhibitory effect likely to be on connexin hemichannels.
