Biological description
Selective inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) (IC50 = 0.3 μM in vitro). Inhibits and reverses the formation of Aβ42 fibers associated with Alzheimer's disease. Reduces neurotoxicity by blocking Ca2+ influx into neuronal cells.
