Biological description
Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant agent. Inhibits Akt and IκB kinase phosphorylation and NF-κB activation. Lowers creatine kinase-MB, lactate dehydrogenase and glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase levels. Increases glutathione peroxidase and SOD levels. Attenuates amyloid-β cytotoxicity. Shows anti-ischemic and anti-inflammatory effects in vivo. -
