Detects a band of approximately 100 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 89 kDa).SEL1L has a predicted molecular weight of 89 kDa; however it has a number of potential glycosylation sites which may affect the migration of the protein (SwissProt data). This migration has been observed in the literature (PMID:18502753).

Anti-SEL1L antibody (ab78298) at 1 µg/ml + HepG2 (Human hepatocellular liver carcinoma cell line) Whole Cell Lysate at 10 µg
Secondary
Goat polyclonal to Rabbit IgG - H&L - Pre-Adsorbed (HRP) at 1/50000 dilution
Developed using the ECL technique.
Performed under reducing conditions.
Predicted band size: 89 kDa
Observed band size: 100 kDa why is the actual band size different from the predicted?
Exposure time: 4 minutesThis blot was produced using a 4-12% Bis-tris gel under the MOPS buffer system. The gel was run at 200V for 50 minutes before being transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane at 30V for 70 minutes. The membrane was then blocked for an hour using 2% Bovine Serum Albumin before being incubated with ab78298 overnight at 4°C. Antibody binding was detected using an anti-rabbit antibody conjugated to HRP, and visualised using ECL development solution ab133406.
SEL1L has a predicted molecular weight of 89 kDa; however it has a number of potential glycosylation sites which may affect the migration of the protein (SwissProt data). This migration has been observed in the literature (PMID:18502753).
