Cortical neuron-glial cell culture from E20 rat stained for ALDH1L1 (red) using ab277623 at 1/1000 dilution and counter-stained with chicken pAb to GFAP (green) at 1/5000 dilution in Immunocytochemistry. The blue is Hoechst is staining nuclear DNA. ab277623 produces cytoplasmic staining of glial cells, while the GFAP antibody labels the intermediate filament cytoskeleton in astrocytes and other glial cells. Some astrocytic cells express both ALDH1L1 and GFAP and therefore appear yellow.
